Die Palästinenser von ‘Awarta leiden seit Jahren unter gewaltsamen Attacken der Siedler von Itamar. Man erlaubt ihnen nicht, ihr Land nahe der Siedlung ohne vorherige Absprache mit dem israelischen Militär zu betreten.
Am Mittwoch, 10.7.2013 informierte die Zivilverwaltung den Gemeinderat, darüber, dass Siedler mehr als 1000 Olivenbäume gefällt hätten, die zwar innerhalb der Umzäunung der Siedlung standen, die aber das Eigentum von 22 Dorfbewohnern von ‘Awarta waren. Danach wurden sie dann darüber informiert, dass südlich der Siedlung weitere 1200 Bäume gefällt worden seien.

The Palestinians of ‚Awarta have suffered violent attacks for many years at the hands of Itamar settlers. They are not allowed to approach their land near the settlement without prior co-ordination with the Israeli military.
On Wednesday, 10th July, 2013, the Civil Administration told the ‚Awarta council that settlers had cut down more than 1000 olive trees, inside the perimeter fence of the settlement, but which are the property of 22 villagers from ‚Awarta. After that, they were informed that a further 1200 trees had been cut down south of the settlement.

On Wednesday, 17th July, 2013, government representatives, escorted by a police force, came to El ‚Araqib and demolished the Bedouin village for the 50th time.

תושבי עווארתה הפלסטינים סובלים רבות מנחת זרועם של מתנחלים מאיתמר. הם אינם יכולים להתקרב לאדמותיהם הסמוכות להתנחלות ללא תיאום עם הצבא
ביום רביעי ה-10.7.2013 הודיע המנהל האזרחי למועצת עווארתה, שמתנחלים כרתו יותר מ-1000 עצי זית, הנמצאים בתוך גדר הישוב איתמר, אך שייכים ל- 22 מתושבי עווארתה לאחר מכן נודע לתושבים שעוד 1200, עצי זית בבעלות תושבים מעווארתה נכרתו מדרום להתנחלות.

ביום רביעי ה-17.7.2013 באו נציגי הממשלה מלווים בכוח משטרתי והרסו בפעם ה-50 את הכפר הבדואי אל עראקיב.
