Am Donnerstag, 17. Mai 2018, warfen Kinder, die in Hebron auf dem Weg zur Schule waren, Steine gegen den Salaymeh Checkpoint. Eine halbe Stunde später und für etwa zwei Stunden feuerten Soldaten Tränengaskanister und mehrere Blend-Granaten in die Schulhöfe von zwei Grundschulen in der Nähe. Mehrere Kinder und Lehrer wurden durch das Einatmen von Tränengas verletzt. Zwei internationale Freiwillige, die den Vorfall filmten, wurden für einige Zeit am Salymeh Checkpoint festgehalten.
On Thursday, May 17, 2018, Palestinian children on their way to school in Hebron threw stones at the Salaymeh Checkpoint. Half an hour later and for two hours, soldiers fired 10 teargas canisters and several stun grenades at the yards of two elementary schools nearby. Several children and teachers were injured by inhaling the teargas. Two international volunteers filming the incident were detained for a while at the Salaymeh Checkpoint.
