This study tour is grounded in ICAHD analysis and offers unique time with Dr Jeff Halper, ICAHD’s Founder, who sets the scene by describing the current reality in Palestine/Israel within its historical and political context. Jeff will help participants understand the significance of the latest rapidly unfolding developments including the impact of the Nation-State bill that passed in the Knesset and the growing call for the solution to be one democratic state.

Through spending time on both sides of the divide, participants obtain insight about the life of the occupied and the occupier. As you meet with Palestinians, learn how its society has been tragically fragmented over seven decades and about the acts of non-violence and sumud (steadfastness) that persist. Hear voices from critical Israeli Jews who courageously challenge their government’s policies and lift a mirror to Israeli society. Encounter both people and organisations that are on the cutting edge. The tour begins in Jerusalem and goes south into the Negev, east along the Jordan Valley, north to the Galilee and west along the Mediterranean Sea with many visits scheduled along the way. Debriefing sessions are held each evening which enhance the programme.

Accommodation is in Bethlehem, East Jerusalem and Nazareth. The cost of the tour is £1200 and includes the full tour programme staying at good three-star hotels at half-board (bed, breakfast and evening meal), sharing a twin-bedded room with ensuite facilities, guidance from the tour leader, other day-guides and tips. Flights, lunches and travel insurance are not included. An additional supplement of £280 is available for single room accommodation by request. Travel is by our own private comfortable coach with an expert local driver from a licensed bus company. The group is kept to a maximum of 18 participants.
